Within the framework of the AGREEMAR project, on Thursday, 30 January 2025, the Technical University of Valencia (UPV) and the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia (INAT) organised a training course on the AQUATOOL decision support system (DSS). This training aimed to enhance collaborative approaches to sustainable water resources management, considering the technical and socio-economic specificities of the mediterranean region.
Led by Joaquín Andreu, Rafael Bergillos, and Syrine Ghannem from UPV, the session focused on the use of AQUATOOL and its application in the Chiba River basin. Participants from various Tunisian water institutions explored tailored solutions to local water challenges while improving their technical skills. Through a combination of theoretical insights, examples of applications and hands-on practices, participants engaged in real-world case study, including the analysis of scenarios for the Chiba River basin in Cap Bon.
